Back In The Saddle… New Chapter & Baby News

So…

For those of you who don’t already know, Vaughan has arrived.

He was right on time, but that’s pretty much the only thing that went as planned. When I got to the hospital, expecting to hear that I was just dealing with ‘false labor’ again, we discovered that I would’ve been ready to push if it weren’t for the baby being breech.

Like I ever do anything the easy way, right?

Anyway, after a hasty C-section Vaughan arrived on December 18th at 11:15 am…

He weighed 7 lbs 13 oz and was 20 1/2 in long…

His eyes are already gray/blue and his hair isn’t blond. It’s platinum.

And thank God, the kid looks just like his Daddy. 😉

Thank you all for the love and thoughtful notes… everything… really.

Now with that being said…

I’m finally getting back to writing…

*No, I haven’t forgotten about AIW. I’m working on it.*

  1. That little one is BEAUTIFUL!! Glad that you are both doing well. Happy to read you are writing again, but as creative as writing is…that baby is a masterpiece.

  2. Feel free to give AIW a rest at any time – as long as you’re updating Life and Death instead 🙂

    Congrats and best wishes.

  3. Aww, he’s so cute. I’m glad you’re doing okay. I figured he had been born by now. Much as I’d love for you to write all the time, you need to rest. Don’t over do. (Sorry, it’s the old lady-ness in me, I can’t help it.)

  4. Blessings to your family and little Vaughn –such a cutie! And…how in the world can you be updating? I would love to open the top of your head and explore your brain just to see your thought processes –you’re amazing! While we LOVE updates, you really should be resting when little V is resting –but we won’t turn down updates that pour from your brain into your eyes, through your fingers onto your computer –we’ll never say “no” to the creative flow! But, take care of yourself in the meantime!!

  15. Beautiful baby and such a wonderful Christmas present. Just remember to give him a separate birthday apart from Christmas. I have a December baby, and it can be hard in that respect. Hope you are feeling back to your old self soon, but it takes time. Happy New Year to you and your family.

  16. Congrats and Vaughan is beautiful!
    This chapter was great…again!
Loved how worried she was about Pam and then I wanted to kill Pam for walking in on them!
    ARGH!
Can’t wait to read more… but I’ll be patient cause that little angel comes first!
    Hugs,
    Juls

  17. Awwww, what a precious little man he is! Congratulations and welcome to the world little Vaughan (LOVE the name, it reminds me of Alias!)

    • I had to look up Alias, since i never watched it… i think it came on opposite something else i watched.
Anyway, Vaughan is my maiden name. I always liked it 😉
