I fucking hate when life happens, which is why I’m usually hesitant to let you know what I’ve been up to. It seems like every time I’m close to posting, if I give anyone a heads up, life gets in my damn way…
So since you were all so (surprisingly) patient, I’m not going to keep you hanging…
There is one thing you should know about these chapters…
Chapter 9 & 10 were collectively going to be the same chapter, but because of how much needed to covered in Eric’s flashback, it needed to be much longer than planned, hence the delay in posting…
I’d been posting an average of 3K per day for a while there, and when I went and got proud of myself, I realized that my track record was going to trip and fall…
So here we go…
It Can’t Be
Chapter 9: Green Light
(6K worth of flashback)
Chapter 10: In The Blood
(3K family dinner after Eric speaks to Octavia)
**
Oh yeah… since chapters 11 & 12 are already done, I’ll go ahead and make the offer to post when 9 & 10 get 100 comments each.
(Yes Lynn, legit comments)
😀

Oh we can’t do that! Leave comments to get chapters…you’ll have those ‘who died and made them god’, self opioniated, ‘commentators’ on fan fiction after you.
Yeah like you give a fuck! 🙂
Sorry, did something push a hot button for me? 🙂 shall we say I am sickmof reading thinly veiled, passive aggressive rants about writers who get lots of reviews, because GASP, we like their work.
Or in your case LOVE your work.
While there’s no doubt that we read and comment on EIM’s work because we love her work, she is also an incredibly talented writer and deserves the kudos. There are however authors out there that continually beg for comments whether the work warrants it or not (they aren’t looking for constructive criticism either). Heaven forbid you tell someone their stories are less than impressive and give an honest critique. I’m sorry but there are a lot of hack writers in the fanfic “business” that continually get rave reviews without deserving them and I’m not just talking about SVM/TB fics. It’s in all fanfic genres. The problem is if you want to give a fair critique and it has anything negative in it you get shouted down by other readers so you don’t post and lots of bad writing continues. Personally as a fanfic writer I not only want to hear what you like but I also want to hear what you don’t like. I can’t improve my writing if all I hear is ego stroking stuff. And for the record I’ve been reading/writing fanfic for about 10 years so I’m not new to this. I’ve seen the truly horrific and the absolutely fabulous.
Also a hot button with me. : )
DITTO TO THE N”TH DEGREE….
Love the image, it did make me smile. Was just thinking about you this morning at the gym, now here are 2 juicy chapters, now my dilemma how to ignore this till tomorrow so i have something to read on the treadmill. This is harder than resisting Georgetown Cupcakes!
Love the picture – on to the story!!!!
Hey now! They’ll be legit! (The Amoroso offer is still on the table…just sayin’)
wow…you never cease to amaze us all……:)
